Moving on .

I've been blogging for a few years now. Sometimes sporadically sometimes daily, but almost regularly. I have finally separated from XSU and starting to live a new life on my own. The original blog helped me get through the painful process of the end of the marriage, along with some bumpy roads dealing with a critically ill child in the midst of the end of marriage mess. Now this blog will see me through the new paths and adventures that life has to offer. Restructuring my life. My way. My experiences, ventings, musings on that whole big and not so big deal.

Another New Year- kisses, cars and good health!

It has been some time since I've last posted. I don't think it's as much an issue of Facebook killing the blog, though most people who read my blog are my FB friends and they know what I'm up to. Except I am most definitely not as frank on FB as I am here. Obvious reasons.

So at the moment, I've got viral diseases infecting my laptop and need a fully trained IT professional to suss out the problems. It's not pretty. The virus scan programme can't even get in to do its job the thing is such a mess.

The offspring known as Rebel Junior most definitely had something to do with this, and I've got to cut her off the use of my machine. I talked to XSU about getting her a new laptop and even found a guy at work selling off his, but apparently, XSU wasn't suitably impressed enough or thought the price was too high. So now, push will come to shove as I won't allow RJ to touch my Dell once it is fixed.

And speaking of viruses, Rebel, seems to have caught something. I spent the better part of today running her between the clinic and the drug store collecting meds and cooking soup.

In fact I am spending far too much time in my beater of a Taurus running both girls around places. I am rather tired of it, but can't figure out a way to make it stop. Rebel needs a car and can't afford one, the loser BF can't either and he contines to have no shame in how he operates. His latest scheme is to take a private investigator's course and get a license until I showed him the Canadian Tire ad - they're looking for PIs - at minimum wage. So he wasn't impressed.

I've been chatting with the widower neighbour but purposely stayed away during the holidays. It's his first without his wife and even if he says he's done with the grieving process, I don't see how a holiday like Christmas doesn't mean something. We've talked about a lot of things, but not his marriage and relationship with his wife. It's on my agenda. Having said that, we both enjoy martinis, scotch, great beers and food and hell, if that's not enough to get a friendship started, then what else is?

So to those of you who come round every now and again..... Happy New Year - with wishes for good health and happiness as we go into 2011. Perhaps I'll catch you - some of you any way - under the mistletoe some time. Wink wink and a Marilyn Monroe kiss to ya.
